As part of the Venetian carnival, this year dedicated to Marco Polo, on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of his death, Alberto Toso Fei recounts the courage, curiosity and perseverance of the great explorers of Venetian history, historical figures of special, wandering men who made travel and discovery their reason for living: from Marco Polo to the brothers Antonio and Niccolò Zen, from Alvise Da Mosto to Piero Querini, from Giovanni Miani to Giancarlo Ligabue.
